a woman on the edge

Hi, I’m Deb, wife to Steve, the ever patient, loving and supportive man in my life, who happens to be my web designer. Mum to Meg, 10yrs, whom we have home-schooled since 7yrs. Step Mum to Miles 10yrs and Montana 6yrs who spend regular time with us and attend mainstream schooling.

Passionate about my children and all children in our world, their development of positive self esteem, emotional growth and life skills ~ not just academics. I love to read everything and anything, especially things which challenge and expand my mind and encourage me to “think outside the box”

Trying to do my bit to help our planet, but realising the desire to help is different to the practical applications which are not always an easy task in our modern day society ~ but i am inspired by the changes i see occurring around me and the awareness of all people growing every day.

Making natural soap using luxurious vegetable oils (no chemicals, no synthetics, no artificial colourings, no fragrances and NO PALM OIL) is something which i love to do. As well as soap crafting, i enjoy all sorts of creativity and craft with my family and friends; writing, felting, knitting, painting, clay, hand-sewing and baking just to name a few!! Most recently a desire to spin my own yarn has emerged. Isn’t there room for one more craft?

Life is like being on the edge. Never knowing what the next day will bring, actually what the next hour or minute will bring, anticipating it with excitement or sometimes anguish. The feelings released from my being astound me, at times bewilder me. But they are a constant reminder that i am human, that emotions are often stronger than logic and i am still here standing on the edge, looking and waiting for what is to come…
